This weekend was a lot of fun. It started with getting off early from work which was great because I spent the weekend with Melly. I love spending time with Melly and her family. We played baseball with Keller and watched Finley progress in her crawling (on her knees!) along with holding her own bottle. Melly planned a great picnic dinner of pad thai and spring rolls that we took to the park where Josh met us when he got off work (he brought dessert) and then we walked the pier as the sunset. And then on Sunday we scored some really good deals at the Eddie Bauer outlet. I'm going to miss them all so much when I move, I'm so glad we've become best friends. I love her so much.
And then yesterday I went to work for a half day (exciting I know) and then just ran errands, mowed the lawn and cleaned up the house. And I stayed up way too late trying to make sure the cats were okay because the fireworks were so loud. I eventually had to go to bed at 11pm and I'm feeling it today.
Now for something different. I found these when I was working the Vashon Farmers Market at the Thriftway there.
I love them.
So I decided to look online and see if there were any other flavors that the Thriftway didn't have. And I found two more that looked interesting.
These however are gross and weird tasting. I was really excited to get them and then really disappointed once I tasted them. The mango isn't there at all and it's a weird sort of minty taste. And the orange one is orange but with a really overpowering flavor of rind. It permeates the whole taste and the orange taste is far far in the background.
Also I would like to thank Melly and Josh for introducing me to So You Think You Can Dance. Because I found the song Poison and Wine by The Civil Wars. I'm pretty infatuated with their album now.

I am so addicted to those things. I get the honey flavored candies at whole food sometimes and they are delish.
